Working closely with the JGU Executive University Board, the division of Communications, Marketing, and Community Relations (COM) oversees and coordinates the university’s external and internal communications, marketing activities (with a focus on student recruitment), and community and alumni relations.

In addition, it brings together a range of central services and resources for JGU:

We produce press releases, magazine articles, and social media content, focusing particularly on research, studying at JGU, and campus life. We respond to media inquiries, connect journalists with experts, and advise researchers on communicating their work.

We continuously develop JGU’s corporate design, provide templates and practical examples, and advise university members on corporate design matters.

We develop student recruitment and university marketing initiatives, implement advertisements and campaigns, and manage JGU’s merchandise.

We build and coordinate partnerships with foundations, companies, and individuals.

We support alumni activities at institutes and faculties and coordinate the central Gutenberg Network for alumni and alumnae.
