In our Service Center, we assist students and provide information on everything they need to know about BAföG assistance – from start-up aid to first-time or follow-up applications, the flexi-semester, or exceeding the maximum funding period. We also keep records and carry out an initial review of applications here.

Three second-level support teams are responsible for processing the BAföG applications, issuing official notifications, and answering in-depth questions on individual cases. They also issue notifications regarding start-up aid, conduct retrospective verification of assets, and much more.

While the teams on-site at the University of Koblenz and the higher education institutions in Koblenz, Bingen, Worms, and Ludwigshafen are responsible for processing their students’ BAföG applications, our Team 4 functions in an advisory as well as supervisory capacity when it comes to questions about higher-level decisions in the BAföG application process such as contradictions, advance payments, or fundamental decisions.
