External or third-party funds are monetary or material resources provided to universities or their members for research and development projects. They also support the promotion of early-career researchers and teaching, and are provided by external public or private sources in addition to state funding.

External Funding supports you in all financial and administrative questions related to the setup and processing of externally funded projects.

Examples of Financial Reporting’s responsibilities include preparing the annual university finance statistics and quarterly statistics, calculating overhead rates for separate accounting, and supporting the audit of the annual financial statements. Evaluations are also prepared as needed to support university governance and reporting to the university funding body, as well as for external audits.
